Under these city lights you catch me staring in your eyes "Well, What's up?" you ask and I just smiled I whispered in your ear Take a walk with me No, we don't have to talk They say we're wasting time. Well, it's their loss Just keep glowing like you are and if they're right, I'd waste my life with you We live on borrowed time I've been rushing through my life I never could slow down until you came around Till you whispered in my ear Take a walk with me No, we don't have to talk They say we're wasting time. Well, it's their loss Just keep glowing like you are and if they're right, I'd waste my life with you

I don't need to touch you to feel your heartbeat Neither do you, you know you're in my heart and on my mind 'Cause I'm goin', I ain't leaving, no 'Cause I'm goin', I ain't leaving, no 'Cause I'm goin', I ain't leaving, no All of this distance, all of this pain circling around us, won't let it get in our way or break our faith 'Cause I'm goin', I ain't leaving, no 'Cause I'm goin', I ain't leaving, no 'Cause I'm goin', I ain't leaving, no Hold my picture Read my letter Remember then 'Cause I'm goin', I ain't leaving, no 'Cause I'm goin', I ain't leaving, no 'Cause I'm goin', I ain't leaving, no No, I don't need to touch you to feel your heartbeat

Photograph 02:48
Take me back to that photograph that I took of you on our very first date. The wind whippin' by, your hair blown all around I pushed it behind your ear. (Chorus) Oh, your smile, your stare The sun in your hair Ain't all that makes you beautiful Oh, The mind you possess The heart in your chest There's more to you than lovely (Verse 2) Someone said you were packin' up That you're movin' out to Tennessee Don't let this be goodbye, I see it in your eyes That you don't really want to leave (Bridge) You're walking out to the cab I pulled up to your house Thought that I missed you I almost lost you (Chorus 2) Oh, you're standing right there No seconds to spare Gotta take this chance before you go Oh, I don't want to miss What we could have been I think it's still what we should be (Verse 3) You turned back and dropped your bags Both hearts skipped a beat when you ran to me We've lost enough time, Let's pick up where we left Your picture's worth a thousand words (Chorus)

Rainy night, walking on the side of the road street lights, reflecting like rays of gold living out a story never told soaking wet, I could hardly see a new beginning was here inside of me Battle line, drawn between my head and heart until now the sides were so far apart internal tension flying off the chart Cautious smile, afraid my soul might break. Losing love was no chance I would take How I dealt with you had to change Resolution finally in range Get out of my own way, learn from my mistakes, now regrets have no place, happy here in this new space I'll be singing my new song where my head and heart belong The new me comes clean, has new priorities, your love is all I need Get out of my own way, learn from my mistakes, now regrets have no place, happy here in this new space I'll be singing my new song where my head and heart belong

about

Dylan Lee Los Angeles, California

Singer/songwriter Dylan Lee’s edgy southern vocals and uptempo melodies bring a little something new to the realm of Country Pop/Rock. Influenced by George Strait, Keith Urban, and Mat Kearney, Dylan writes songs that have a pop/rock feel, but his old school country voice adds an extra flavor to the mix.
